Welcome to “Immeasurably more”, a place where Beth and I hope to share and reflect on how God has been working in our lives since Beth’s stage 4 Lung cancer diagnosis in January 2024. The title is based on Eph 3: 20-21 (NIV) “Now to him, who is able to do immeasurable more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” The Lord put this passage on our hearts while we dealt with the full weight of Beth’s diagnosis and it provided us with the strength and comfort we needed to carry on.
We stand in awe at the immense power of prayer and have felt it working in our lives in tangible and meaningful ways. We bear witness to a living God for whom we serve. We have felt His love and grace surround us and have learned to be still in His holy presence. We have been sustained by the body of believers, both near and far, who served as the hands and feet of Christ working in our lives. Our God is a God of miracles, and we have experienced them in our lives through the healing that Beth has received thus far.
As we continue down is path of healing, our fervent prayer is that God grants us “immeasurably more” than what we ask for…which includes the complete restoration of her earthly body. And for as long as the good Lord gives us breath, we seek to give Him all glory, praise and honor, no matter the circumstance, for we know that He will be faithful, throughout all generations, for ever and ever.
We hope you follow along as we share our testimony through this blog, and we pray that it will be a blessing in your lives,
Grace and Peace to you all,
Nathan and Beth Saarloos
